A Novel Route Selection Method Considering Reliability Factors Using Amoeba Algorithm

摘要

Route selection is one of the fundamental issues concerned in many real-world network optimization problems. Various approaches have been presented to deal with this problem. However, they don't take the reliability factors associated with the route into consideration, which is very important under disastrous circumstances. In this paper, a novel method considering reliability factors using amoeba algorithm is proposed to handle the route selection problem under uncertain environment. Both the path length and the reliability factors associated with path length are expressed by triangular fuzzy numbers. After a sequence of operations among triangular fuzzy numbers, e.g. addition, multiplication, the optimal path is selected. A numerical example is used to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
