It's great when your team members get to know each other so well they interact like family. Except when the team does what some families do - fall into a rut of automatic, pat behavior.rnJust as it's healthy to shake things up at home by, say, taking up a new sport together, so also it's healthy for work teams to shake things up.rnHere's an exercise to help do that: 1. Get team members in the flow by asking about their family's morning routine. Can they predict what each family member will have for breakfast? What they'll say on coming downstairs? Get them to brainstorm on how breaking the norm would change the home dynamic.
