In it, he expressed bafflement at millionaires with neither space nor budget for even modest hi-fi systems, and mentioned a couple of extravagances he might indulge in should he win the lottery. In Ken's world, fine wines are in; designer shoes are not. Just a few days before that issue of Hi-Fi News appeared online, I sent in a report about the California Audio Show - in the process accidentally copying in a fellow theatre critic with a photo and caption of an exotic turntable.
