The safety and quality of road transport operations in Europe came under scrutiny from CEFIC and Dow at the recent EPCA gathering. The European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) held a workshop at the annual logistics meeting of the European Petrochemical Association (EPCA) in Monte Carlo this past October 23, in order to update members on the progress of its Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS). Jos Verlinden, recently appointed as CEFIC's full-time SQAS manager, explained the background of SQAS.
