The Canadian province of Ontario is to move closer to going completely coal free by 2014 with the closure of four of its remaining plants.rnState-owned power company Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is set to close the plants next year.rnThe closures will mean the province has reduced its coal capacity by 40% since 2003.rnOPG will continue to assess converting its remaining 11 units to other fuel sources such as biomass.rnAfter 2014 the province's fuel mix will include nuclear, gas and renewables.
