Road Projects and Road Rage Can Be A Fatal Combination

Road rage is an ugly and dangerous thing when it occurs on the open road, but it can be positively murderous when it takes place within the confines of an already dangerous highway work zone. This was the conclusion of the California Dept. of Transportation when it closed downrna road on June 11 for the final stage of a widening project after three incidents showed that keeping it open was too dangerous for workers. The growing phenomenon of road rage is something that other road and bridge agencies must consider when planning major repair projects.
