style="text-align:justify;"> style="font-family:Verdana;">Mathematics is considered by many students as a difficult academic subject. style="font-family:Verdana;">To improve their performance, various learning strategies are employed by style="font-family:Verdana;"> teachers abandoning the conventional method. This study focused on the cooperative learning as a method to enhance level of performance of grade 10 mathematics students in the Philippines. It looked into the method and how it influenced students’ performance. By using a quasi-experimental research method, style="font-family:Verdana;">the following results are generated: style="font-family:Verdana;">1 style="font-family:Verdana;">) the method positively improved the "=""> style="font-family:Verdana;"> per style="font-family:Verdana;">formance in mathematics of the control and experimental groups; style="font-family:Verdana;">2 style="font-family:Verdana;">) while ef style="font-family:Verdana;">fectiveness assessment showed a highly effective result style="font-family:Verdana;">; style="font-family:Verdana;"> and 3) the application of the method showed a positive impact on the participants as shown by their positive perception of the subject mathematics.
