Equations of motion for zeros of orthogonal polynomials related to the Toda lattices

We study the motion of zeros of time dependent orthogonal polynomials. We also relate the tau function of a Toda type lattice to the discriminant of the corresponding orthogonal polynomials which is then related to the free energy of an electrostatic equilibrium problem.
