Willmott Dixon has made a £6.2m provision for "potential cladding-related works" as a result of revised building-safety regulations in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, according to accounts filed by the contractor's parent company. The sum set aside represents the firm's best guess at its financial exposure for cladding remediation, including funds that might prove recoverable through insurance policies. In its 2019 annual report covering the year to 31 December, the company added that the eventual cladding-related bill could lie between £1.75m and £8.9m.
