Steps Forward

This past year, many of us have faced overwhelming challenges as a result of the worldwide recession. And it's not clear 2010 will be easier. During this economic uncertainty, the importance of skilled supply chain and operations management professionals has become increasingly evident to business leaders.rnRecently I wrote in Operations Management Now something I think is important to reiterate in these magazine pages: "This recession is going to have many residual effects-on jobs, spending, and more. We'll be feeling these for years to come. However, I strongly believe supply chain management and operations professionals are playing and will continue to play a primary role in this complicated economic turnaround."
