Chemopreventive Effect of Celecoxib in Oral Pre-cancers and Cancers

Objectives:Oral cancer has become an important healthcare problem in many countries. Since this disease develops slowly, early detection and intervention can greatly affect ultimate outcome. Celecoxib is a cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor with significantly less toxicity. This study investigated the possibility of using it for chemoprevention of oral cancer at the early stages.
