Positive transfer of native language in second language acquisition is gaining more and more attention. Aspects like grammatical transfer, lexical transfer, syntactic transfer, phrase transfer and graphical transfer are widely studied by scholars. However, in the learning of the phonology of second language, it is evident that the learners’ pronunciation is deeply affected by their native language. Hence, the phonology of native language plays a significant role in the phonological acquisition of second language. This paper wil analyze the positive phonetic transfer of Chinese in English acquisition in a detailed way.
