Objective To analyze the imaging manifestations of third molar CM3) in aged 11, and to explore the relationship of development between M3 and second molar (M2), canine (C). Methods A total of 399 cases, aged 11, of West China School of Stomatology in June August 2010 were selected as the imaging database. The M3, M2, C on the panoramic images were observed and the development degree in 399 was divided. And then the correlation analysis was done. Results 45.5% of M3 in aged 11 was in stage G. 30.8% of M2 was in stage F. 36.1% of C was in stage G. The development of M3 appeared earlier in girls than in boys, and earlier in the mandible than in the maxil-lary. There was no significant difference between the left and right side. The correlation coefficient between M3 and M2 was 0.437, and the correlation coefficient between M3 and C was 0.132. Conclusion The general trends of the developments of M3 and M2, C were the same. The development of M3 can be used to describe the development of M2 and C, according to the close relationship in radiograph.%目的 调查分析11岁儿童第三磨牙(M3)的影像学表现,探讨M3发育情况与其相应第二磨牙(M2)、尖牙(C)生长发育的关系.方法 从四川大学华西口腔医院影像资料库中随机抽取2010年6-8月期间拍摄的11岁儿童全颌曲面断层片共399张,分别观察M3、M2、C的发育情况并进行发育分期,然后分析三者相关性.结果 在11岁儿童中,M3处于发育C期的比例为45.5%,M2处于F期的比例为30.8%,C处于G期的比例为36.1%.女性M3较男性发育早;下颌M3较上颌发育早;左右侧M3发育无明显差异.M3与M2、C的相关系数分别为0.437、0.132.结论 M3与M2、C发育总体趋势具有一致性,临床上可通过M2、C的发育状况来了解M3发育状况.
