Discussion about Status Quo of Vocabulary Teaching in Current Chinese Senior High Schools

     

摘要

In three-year senior middle school in China(for pupils aged 15-18), the National University Entrance Examination(orgaokao) exerts great influence on daily English teaching. In the light of the particular context of senior middle schools in which vo-cabulary instruction takes place, this paper will seek to discuss its key features, and propose a plan to advance its development.
