Dialogue Analysis and Its Application in English Language Class

摘要

Dialogue is frequently employed as role-play in the classroom activities.Students are encouraged to practice speaking skill in the context of a certain conversation.Conversation tasks in listening exercises also attract various interests in English lessons.This essay aims to analyze the functions of dialogues,followed with the discussion on how to apply the proper dialogues into English classroom,and ending up with the suggestions of some possible activities adopted in English language class.A dialogue cited from Dellar and Walkley(2003,p.125)is used as a sample to interpret in detail.
