The Irish literature, which enjoys great reputation in English literature history, develops as the two languages -Irish and English competes with each other. Thus the Irish writers have unique perspective to life and nature, and Hugo Hamilton, born in 1953, is one of them. His memoir“The Speckled People”depicts how he is entangled in speaking three languages -Irish, German and English.
