The Spread of“Cultural Imperialism”and The Rebounds of China’s Movie TV

     

摘要

With the marked globalization of cultural transmission and wide opening of the Chinese market, Chinese movie&TV industry faces unprecedented opportunities and challenges as well. What we face is not only the enormous impact of the econom-ic form of film industry; what is more, in the field of culture, we will also face the enormous impact of“cultural imperialism”. This paper focuses on the“cultural imperialism”existed in global especially American films. To counter the cultural empirical glo-balization of American films growing in great intensity, this paper discusses the theory of“culture rebounds”presented earliest in France. Moreover, under the influence of the theory especially in Chinese film circles, it makes research and analysis to deal with the present situation.
