On the Differences of Family Concept between Chinese and Western Cultures in Terms of Cultural Dimensions-A Case Study of Ang Lee's Movies The Family Trilogy

摘要

在中西文化交流的过程中回避不了的一个问题就是中西文化的差异。文化差异在很大程度上妨碍了文化的交流，给人们带来了诸多的不便，要解决文化差异的问题首先就得了解中西文化到底存在那些方面的差异，是风俗习惯，交际习俗，思维方式，还是价值观念的差异。中西家庭观的差异在很大程度上是价值观念的差异。
　　文化维度理论是荷兰管理学家吉尔特·霍夫斯泰德提出来的。他在著名的跨国公司IBM(国际商业机器公司)进行了一项大规模的文化价值观调查。通过分析调查数据，总结出衡量价值观的五个维度：权力距离，个人主义与集体主义，男性化与女性化，不确定性规避及长期观与短期观。
　　本文首先分析了霍夫斯泰德文化维度理论和中西家庭观的研究现状，指出了相比较于纯理论的研究，研究其维度理论的运用相对较少。中西家庭差异的研究主要局限在家庭教育，家庭伦理方面的研究，缺乏一定的理论指导。文章通过其中的权力距离，个人主义与集体主义，男性化与女性化，不确定性规避四个维度对李安电影系列“家庭三部曲”进行个案分析发掘出中西家庭观的差异，从而论证了霍夫斯泰特文化维度理论在分析中西价值观差异的合理性，并指出基于儒家文化所提出来的长期观与短期观维度在分析中西差异的局限性。
　　希望此文能为文化维度的研究开辟一个新的角度，从文化维度角度来分析中西家庭观的差异，并为研究李安电影和中西家庭观的差异提供有益的借鉴与参考，促进中西文化的交流与融合。
