Objective To investigate the expression of the phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN), vascular endo-thelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A) and microvessel density (MVD) in colorectal cancer tissues, and analyze the associa-tion with clinical pathology. Method Immunohistochemical SP method was applied to detect the expression of PTEN and VEGF-A in 50 samples of colorectal cancer and normal intestinal mucosa, while the endothelial cells were deter-mined by CD31 staining, and then the association between the indexes and clinicopathological parameters was investigat-ed. Result PTEN and VEGF-A protein expression and MVD value in colorectal cancer tissues were significantly differ-ent with those in normal adjacent tissues (P<0.05);and the expression of PTEN and VEGF-A, as well as the MVD were closely related with patients’age, depth of invasion, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis (P<0.05). Conclusion The expression of PTEN, VEGF-A and MVD is associated with the occurrence, development, inva-sion, and distant metastasis of colorectal cancer. The combined detection of PTEN and VEGF-A and MVD facilitates a precise evaluation of the invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer, and is a practical adjuvant diagnostic instrument in assessing the clinical pathology of colorectal cancer.%目的：探讨结直肠癌中磷酸酶基因（PTEN）、血管内皮生长因子A（VEGF-A）与微血管密度（MVD）的表达情况及其水平高低与临床病理特征的关系。方法采用免疫组织化学SP法检测50例结直肠患者癌组织及癌旁组织中的正常肠黏膜中PTEN、VEGF-A的表达；采用CD31计数法检测结直肠癌组织中血管内皮细胞的数量，分析各指标与临床病理参数的关系。结果结直肠癌组织中PTEN、VEGF-A蛋白的阳性表达率及MVD值与癌旁组织比较，差异均有统计学意义（P﹤0.05）；PTEN、VEGF-A表达及MVD值与患者的年龄、癌组织的浸润深度、临床分期及是否淋巴结转移和远处转移有关（P﹤0.05）。结论 PTEN、VEGF-A表达和MVD与结直肠癌的发生、发展、侵袭其他部位、远处转移有关，3个指标的联合检测可用于更精确地评估结直肠癌的侵袭转移，有利于辅助诊断结直肠癌的临床病理。
