This paper studied the production of the roasted green tea and established a roasted green tea production line suitable for medium and small-sized tea factory, and designed a DCS control system based on PLC. Combining the PLC technology with the DCS technology, the control system uses the small size PLC of SIMTIC S7 - 200 as the spot control station controller responsible for the logic control of production line. It also uses Delphi as the centralized control software of the centralized control station PC of the platform development, and PC communicates with PLC by Modbus RTU protocol and collects spot production data to construct an expert process system. The results show that the production line control system meets the design requirements, and after popularized applications, the results prove its stable performance, reliable operations and domestic leading level of the overall technology.
