认知语言学角度的英语短语动词语义分析

摘要

The senses of particles in phrasal verbs are traditionally considered unanalyzable .Based on image schema theory and metaphor theory , this paper attempts to investigate the relationship between the basic meanings and extended meanings of particles .The basic senses of OVER can be demonstrated by the image schema , and its metaphorical extensions can be deduced from the basic senses .Image schema theory and metaphor theory pro-vide a new perspective for the understanding and use of phrasal verbs .%对英语短语动词的理解可援用认知语言学中的意象图式理论和隐喻理论对其基本义和引申义进行认知分析和探讨。在原型意象图式的基础上运用不同的隐喻，即可获得不同的抽象意义。意象图式和隐喻为理解短语动词的多义现象提供了一个新的视角。
