明代四川进士总数新论辨

摘要

Sichuan Jinshi is a unique political group of southwest borderland in Ming dynasty whose numbers were widely discussed in academic circle .A new argument of 1 406 has caused another round of discussion . By reexamining its theoretical basis , documents information and academic history , this number is credible before any latest information appears .%明代四川进士是西南边疆一个独具特色的政治群体，学界关于该群体的总数聚讼纷纭，新论“1406人”说引起了新的讨论。重新审视“1406人”说立论的基础、文献资料的运用、相关学术史等问题，在没有新的材料公布之前，“1406人”说应该是大致可信的。
