The controversy of “literature and thought”continues in the new century literary world .The thought that literature needs is complex and profound , unique and original , which should be transformed aesthetically .Being complex and profound requests the writer to explore the themes constantly ;being unique and original requests the writers to produce personalized insights from life and society , which keep impera-tive questioning toward established thoughts .The esthetic transformation requests the writers to achieve emo-tivity, visualization and formalization of thought .%“文学与思想”的论争，在新世纪文坛方兴未艾。文学所需的思想，既应复杂而深广，又应独特而新颖，更需经过审美转化：复杂与深广，要求作家不断深入挖掘题材；而独特与新颖，则要求作家形成个性化的社会人生感悟，对既定思想保持必要质疑；至于审美转化，则要求作家努力促成思想的情感化、形象化和形式化。
