比较视野下新加坡的国家构建

摘要

Singapore completed nation-building with its own features in accordance with the foundational law of nation-building . It established authority as a nation state based on the accumulation of modernity and the formation of nation in the colonial period and built relative mature democracy system on the basis of the development of civil society . Singapore also maintained considerable modernity and democracy while expanding state power as a nation state ,Singapore used state power to suppress excessive participation in politics in the period of establishing democracy while promoting democracy by reaching mutual compromise between political elite and the public so as to achieve relative balance between state power and democratic development .%新加坡的国家构建是在遵循国家构建基本规律的基础上保持自己特色的过程。它在殖民主义时期现代性积累和国族形成的基础上构建民族国家的权力机构，在市民社会发展的基础上培育起较为成熟的民主化制度。它在扩展民族国家权力的同时保持着相当的现代性和民主性，在构建国家的民主政治时期则利用国家权力抑制政治参与的过快扩展，同时由政治精英和民众相互妥协而共同推动民主的有序发展，从而达到了国家权力与民主发展的一种相对平衡。
