Semantic map model provides a new typological approach to the study of polysemy.Its idea of multifunctionality can effectively differentiate between polysemy and homonymy across languages and it can also reveal the deviation patterns as well as common features of polysemy.%语义地图模型为多义性研究提供了崭新的语言类型学视角。其语言多功能性的思想使之在跨语言的层面上有效地区分多义性和同音形异义性,深刻地揭示多义性的变异模式及普遍特征。
