“五四”时期陈独秀的“民主”与“科学”思想探析

As one of the promoters of New Culture Movement and May Fourth Movement, Chen Duxiu played the role of a pioneer and backbone. In particular, he brought the great ideas of democracy and science to th6 nation. Despite the limitations of the time and his interpretation defects, it is undeniable that Chen Duxiu＇s thoughts are of great significance in enlightening national wisdom, raising a trend of ideological emancipation, promoting the awakening of Chinese people and modernizing the national quality.%作为新文化运动与＂五四＂运动的发起人之一,陈独秀在其中起了先锋和中坚的作用,尤其是他对＂民主＂与＂科学＂这两大思想的极力张扬,尽管受当时时代的局限,陈独秀在＂民主＂与＂科学＂的阐述中尚存在缺陷,但不可否认的是这两大思想对于启发民智、掀起思想解放潮流、促进中华民族的觉醒和国民素质的提高发挥了巨大的作用。
