This empirical study is to test the impact of university class size on the academic achievements of major courses. It illustrates that, university class size indirectly influences students′ academic achievements by such course-related factors as lecture management, lecture interaction, students′ study motive, teacher-student relationship, etc. Universities are suggested to reduce the class size.%通过教学实验和具体访谈,考察了某地方本科院校两个不同班级规模专业课堂教学对学生成绩的影响。研究发现:较大的班级规模通过教学课堂管理、课堂互动、学生学习动机、师生关系等因素影响课堂教学效果,对学生的专业课程学习成绩产生影响。因此,学校应切实缩小专业课程教学班级规模。
