大学英语通识教育人文社会科学类课程设置改革探索——以中国地质大学（武汉）的改革实践为例

摘要

The previous stage of college English teaching reform based on the teaching form and means came to an end finally.The next stage of reform is well on its way with the renewal of the teaching content as its focus.Courses on Humanities play a dominant role in general education curriculum system.Taking China University of Geosciences（CUG） as an example,this article probes into the curriculum design of the general education in China,aiming at the boosting of the college English reform and bettering of the college English teaching system.%当前的中国大学英语教学已经基本完成了教学形式和教学手段的改革,新一轮改革的重点将是实现从教学形式到教学内容的根本转变。用以英语为载体的通识类课程替代以语言教学为主体的大学英语课程将为深化大学英语课程改革提供了新的出发点。纵观通识教育最为发达的美国的一流高等学府,人文社会科学类课程在通识课体系框架内占据非常重要的地位。文章以对国内大学人文社会科学类大学英语通识课程设置进行探讨,以中国地质大学（武汉）的改革实践为例,为进一步推动大学英语教学改革向纵深发展,完善具有我校特色的大学英语通识教育教学体系,寻求一条更加有效和完善的教改之路。
