As a major inputting means of language and culture , English extensive course plays an important role in the training of students'cross-cultural communication ability . To train the students'bi-linguistic and bi-cultural ability , the selection of the reading materials in the textbook should follow cultural hibridity . Scientific compiling and bi-directional comments can also promote the reform of the textbooks .
