Philosophy came from the replacement of primary religion and myths by rational thinking, whose development and ideas later became a tradition of occidental philosophy. Tracing the rational gene of western phi-losophies requires the analysis of various schools of ancient Greek philosophers ' different understandings and ideas of ration. "Nous" and "Logos" are the earliest names of ration to the ancient Greek philosophers, which later became the core of the development of the rational concept of the ancient Greek philosophy. Thus, it is nec-essary to understand this point.%哲学起源于理性思维对原始宗教、神话幻想的取代，而理性的发展及其观念成为后来西方哲学的一大传统。追溯西方哲学中的理性基因，要从古希腊各流派哲学家对理性做出不同层面理解及不同角度的思考说起。“努斯”“逻各斯”是古希腊哲学家对理性的最早规定，成为后来古希腊哲学理性观念发展的核心，摸清这一发展脉络对于理解西方理性至关重要。
