中法战争前后西南边疆地区电报业兴办述评

摘要

中法战争前后边防吃紧，各省使用电报传递文报的需求大增，出现了中国近代电报业创办的高峰。战事的需要，促成了西南地区创办电报业繁荣景象的涌现。战后中越边界开办商务，架设了西南地区的国际电报线，客观上推进了西南地区的边防建设和商务发展。中法战争期间电报线的架设和对外贸易的发展，使得西南这一长期的边缘地区演变成为前沿发展地带，客观上推进了这一地区的近代化进程。%The instances of provinces using telegraph to send Datagram greatly increased before and after the Sino-French War with border tensions.The telegraph arrived at an unprecedented peak in Southwest China to meet the needs of the war.After the war,China and Vietnam set up a business in the local border,at the same time,International telegraph line opened up in Southwest China with erection of boundary telegraph line.It had advanced objectively the construction of the Southwest border and business development with the founder of telegraph lines.The erection of telegraph lines dur-ing the sino-French War and the developmant of Foreign trade made the long edge of the area evolve into the forefront of the development zone,which was the historic opportunity to make the Southwest into the process of modernization.
