P To provide a method for easily evaluating a supply speed of dissolved oxygen to be supplied to a steel material front surface in a concrete structure without being affected by IR and by an oxidation-reduction system formed ON the front surface of platinum, and also to provide an electric protection management method for a steel material in the concrete structure, which can set a required depolarization amount based ON the supply speed of the dissolved oxygen to the steel material front surface and which is evaluated by the evaluation method. PSOLUTION: There is provided a method for: arranging a platinum electrode ON a steel material front surface in a concrete structure; temporarily energizing the platinum electrode as a cathode so as to generate hydrogen gas from the front surface of the platinum electrode; measuring a potential attenuation curve of the platinum electrode after turning OFF the energization; obtaining a time from the turn-off of the energization to an inflection point of the secular change of the potential of the platinum electrode; and then, evaluating a supply speed of dissolved oxygen to the steel material front surface in the concrete structure and based ON the time.
