国外专业化大学校长胜任特征研究

摘要

随着经济全球化和知识经济时代的到来，大学正面临着严峻的挑战，专业化大学校长在推动大学变革和发展的过程中起着至关重要的作用。本文从国外大学校长的职责和遴选的胜任能力要求两个方面来探究国外专业化大学校长的胜任力，从而提出国外专业化大学校长应具备战略管理与组织变革、筹资和财务管理、沟通协调和建立关系、领导艺术和团队建设、个性特征等五个维度的胜任能力特征。通过探寻发达国家专业化大学校长胜任能力，可以为我国专业化大学校长的遴选、任用、考核和培训提供借鉴和参考。%With the advent of economic globalization and knowledge economy, universities are facing severe challenges. Professional university presidents play a vital role in promoting the reform and development of university. This paper explores the competency of foreign professional university presidents from the perspectives of responsibility and selection criteria. It is found out that the competency of foreign professional university presidents is characterized with management and organizational transformation, financing and financial management, communication, coordination and relationship development, leadership and team building, and personal characteristics. The competency standards of professional university presidents at foreign universities may provide references for the selection, appointment, assessment and training of university presidents in China.
