The translation and spreading of Indian Buddhism is not only a great historical event in the history of Chinese culture,but also a typical event in which the rule of hermeneutical conditions. This article chooses the translation and accepting of Sanskrit Xin Jing as one case,trying to survey and explain this kind of hermeneutical phenomenon. It maybe said that Sanskrit Xin Jing is not a Scripture which commits itself to the study of human being’s mind,but under the view of Chinese culture,it is understood as a Scripture to take up with mind,humanistic and ideological. What we try in this article may also be a help for us to realize some basic features of Chinese culture and philosophy which are unacquainted to us now.
