The lion drum is one of the popular folk dances in the area of Heluo.Its development is influenced greatly by the natural and social environment of Heluo area. By the middle of the twentieth Century,the number of local Lion drum team had reached several hundred,and then declined rapidly. Only a small number of Lion drum teams are still active at present. The performance of Lion Drum consists of drum music,martial arts and lion dance.Drum Music plays a conducting role in the whole performance,and martial arts and lion dance constitute the core of the whole performance.Lion drum integrates martial arts,acrobatics,dance and other arts into a coher-ent whole. Due to its rich content and superb craftsmanship,Lion Drum is popular among the masses. Lion drum has great value in re-flecting cultural diversity,enriching spiritual life,and facilitating the development of cultural industry.Therefore,the protection of Lion Drum should start with the optimization of ecological environment. Simultaneously,the level of its performance should be improved con-stantly and new ways of modern development should be explored.%狮子鼓是流行在河洛地区的民间乐舞,其发展深受河洛地区自然和社会环境的影响.20世纪中期以前,当地狮子鼓队曾达几百家,之后迅速减少,目前只剩少数鼓队还在活动.狮子鼓的表演由鼓乐、武术、狮舞三部分构成.其中,鼓乐在表演中起着指挥的作用,武术、狮舞是表演的核心.狮子鼓融武术、杂技、舞蹈等多种艺术于一体,内容丰富,技艺精湛,极受群众喜爱.狮子鼓在体现文化多样性、丰富民众精神生活、促进文化产业发展等方面有着重要价值.对于河洛狮子鼓的保护应该从生态环境的优化入手,不断提高表演水平,积极探索现代发展的新路子.
