关联理论视角下字幕翻译中的文化缺省及其翻译研究

摘要

近年来，中西方的不断交流促进了全球影视产业快速发展，字幕翻译作为沟通的媒介，其重要性日益凸显。影视作品也成为宣传中国形象和文化的重要的手段。正因如此，在跨文化的字幕翻译过程中，文化缺省部分的翻译就变的得很重要，这将会直接影响或者限制观众对该影视剧的欣赏和感受。
　　文化缺省是对交际双方共知的文化信息的省略，与交际的经济性原则一致，不仅可以提高交流效率，增加文本美感，同时可以增强读者的参与意识，使他们充分发挥自己的想象力。然而对于文化背景不同的人来说，文化缺省也就成了阅读障碍，因此对文化缺省词语的翻译尤为重要。但目前字幕翻译的质量良莠不齐，针对这一情况，许多学者分别从不同的角度对字幕翻译进行了研究。本文在前人研究的基础上，从关联理论出发，对字幕翻译中的文化缺省现象进行探析。
　　关联理论认为，翻译是一个双重的明示——推理的交际过程。在这个过程中，译者要有充分的敏锐性，一方面要揣测制作方的信息意图，明确其中的语境暗含，了解文化缺省的部分；另一方面，还要对观众的认知环境进行认真思考，然后采用合适的表达方式对文化缺省部分进行处理，让目的语观众和文本建立起最佳关联，最后实现对影视剧的正确理解和赏析。
　　本文以流行美剧《摩登家庭》中的字幕翻译作为语料，对其中出现的文化缺省现象进行归纳总结，即社会风俗文化缺省、文学故事文化缺省、宗教文化缺省、历史人物及事件文化缺省和神话故事文化缺省。同时，以关联理论为指导，从最佳关联原则的两个层面，“构建足够的语境效果”和“减少不必要的加工努力”，提出对文化缺省的翻译补偿策略。通过文化直入、文内明示、文外作注、释义、替换和弱化的方法，最大限度地提高字幕翻译的质量，从而实现影片的商业及文化价值。
