基于语料库翻译学理论的译者风格研究——The Gay Genius两个汉译本分析

摘要

翻译研究最为突出的问题就是定性研究与定量研究相脱节，理论研究与语言转换的实践相脱节，缺乏客观的量化标准和评估模式。建立基于语料库的翻译研究新方法可以弥补上述不足。
　　语料库翻译学研究虽然只有短短十几年的发展历史，但近年来却呈现出愈来愈强劲的发展势头。语料库翻译学在汲取语料库语言学、描写性译学及其他相关学科营养的同时，不断丰富自己的研究内容和研究方法。该领域研究不仅颠覆了传统译学的研究方法，而且形成了自己独特的研究对象，拓展和深化了翻译学研究的外延和内涵。
　　基于林语堂长篇小说The Gay Genius宋碧云和张振玉的两个汉译本，利用语料库检索软件WordSmith6.0和AntConc3.1.4进行多层面、多角度的定量分析和定性分析相结合，来研究两位译者在类符/形符比、词长、四字成语、词汇密度、文本翻译的省略，特定词的翻译、平均句长和功能词使用，和非语言特征的不同这几个方面所体现的不同译者风格。在语料的基础上探讨译者风格，用检索软件对文本进行检索，以期通过研究来发现源文本和目的语文本中一系列连贯的、显著的数据最终揭露译者风格。
　　通过定量和定性研究发现:宋碧云译本比张振玉译本在词的层面上体现出类符/形符比高、词汇密度大的特点，因而能够比较充分地传递原文中所蕴含的意义，宋译本以较少的型符数传递了更多的信息，也更注重对细节的掌握，而张振玉译本中，功能词的使用频率偏高，在语法标记上体现出“明晰化”特点。宋碧云译本在语法标记方面趋于隐化，这更符合汉语的表达习惯。张振玉译本受英文原文的表达习惯所影响。
　　译者风格分析可以分为五个大的层面:音系学，词汇，句法，语篇和修辞。主要从词汇，句法，语篇和非言语特征这几个方面研究研究两位译者风格，因此在判别两位译者的风格标记方面不是极尽详细。
