基于构式压制的余华小说《兄弟》反义复合词英译研究

摘要

本文的研究对象是中文反义复合词的英译。反义复合作为中文中特殊的构词方式，是一种复杂又有趣的语言现象，是由两个意思相反的单音节语素构成的复合词，如“兄弟”、“长短”等，又名“反义相成词”。但是过往学者多从分类，结构构成等方面进行研究，很少涉及构式语法方向。本文要从构式压制角度研究反义复合词英译问题。构式压制作为构式语法的重要研究方向，已经引起了国内外语言学家的注意。本文采用余华小说《兄弟》英译本作为语料，以《现代汉语词典》为基准，穷尽性地研究了273个反义复合词，从中选取29个典型复合词，并从语料中选择了63个例句进行分析。
　　本文首先从引言部分入手，介绍了构式压制研究背景，重要性，有针对性地提出了可行性，解释力和翻译策略等三个研究问题，并介绍了文章的结构布局。然后介绍并总结了反义复合词的定义和分类，并对已有研究进行评价补充。在此之后，本文回顾和评述了构式语法诞生发展，对前人构式压制理论进行梳理，提出了本文的理论基础。在前人研究的基础上，本文基于构式压制对语料进行了分析，从273个《现代汉语词典》收录的反义复合词中选取了29个，并在语料中选出63个典型英译，对典型例证进行分析和讨论。同时，对反义复合词以构式关系为标准进行分类，并对译者翻译方式进行了讨论，从中体现构式对不同构式的翻译方法进行的压制。本文还提出了“反义变并列”，“反义变选择”，“反义变统一”，“转换”四种翻译方式。最后总结全文，归纳文本观点和对翻译活动及今后研究的启示，最后指出了本文的不足和对将来进一步研究的点滴建议。
