不同学科学术语篇中四词词块的研究——以食品科学与教育学为例

摘要

近年来，随着语料库语言学的迅速发展，词块的研究也日益成为学者们关注的课题。然而，不同学科中使用的词块究竟有多大的差异仍然有待研究。本研究采用基于语料库的方法，以食品科学与教育学为例，对这两门不同学科的本族语学者撰写的学术语篇中使用的高频四词词块进行对比分析，旨在揭示不同学科学术英语中词块的结构与功能的特点及使用的异同。
　　 本研究首先将两个语料库中所有符合筛选标准的四词词块提取出来，按结构与功能进行分类;然后对其结构与功能的特点进行对比分析;最后再探讨其结构与功能之间的关系。
　　 研究发现，不同学科中使用的词块在结构与功能上有较明显的差异。结构上，“名词+of”类词块在教育学中所占比例最高;食品科学更依赖“V”词块。功能上，研究导向型词块在食品科学中所占比例最高;而文本导向型词块在教育学中所占比例最高。本研究进一步分析得出这些差异存在的主要原因可能在于不同学科的特点:教育学更注重理论的解释，而食品科学更注重实证研究。这表明词块不仅是学术语篇的重要组成部分，同时也为区分不同学科提供了一种方式。
　　 本研究还发现这些四词词块结构与功能之间密切相关。例如，“名词+ of”类词块主要帮助实现数量与描写功能;框架功能几乎都是由介词词块实现的;参与导向型词块主要是由“It+Vbe+形容词”和“V be”两种结构构成。
　　 以上研究结果将会丰富关于不同学科的词块研究，同时也对ESP和EAP教学有较直接的指导意义。
