摘要

本文针对非英语专业大学生“要不要教学语法”与“怎样教学语法”的问题就“非英语专业大学英语语法教学必要性”这一课题展开讨论。文章首先通过文献综述对英语语法教学进行重新审视,主要针对国内外学者对英语语法教学的地位以及对语法教学方法的研究进行回顾,接着对海外以及中国的语法教学状况进行了概括性的阐述。然后分别从大学英语语法教学存在的问题、老师的语法教学和学生的语法学习三个方面对我国的大学英语语法教学现状进行展示。一方面,有些老师片面理解交际法,认为交际法就是不教语法,主观上把两者对立起来;有些对学生的语法水平估计错误,认为语法能力在中学就培养好了;另一方面,学生对语法教学的态度又很消极;加之大学英语四、六级考试改革,取消语法考试使语法教学几乎从大学英语教学中消失。 围绕这些问题,笔者通过实证研究的方法,用访谈、问卷以及语法水平考试这三种研究工具从“教师对语法教学的态度”、“学生对语法教学的态度”,以及“客观的语法测试”这三个方面来论证非英语专业大学英语语法教学的必要性。从这三个方面调查研究得出的结论是一致的:非英语专业大学英语语法教学有必要,并且是一项紧迫的任务。
