英语双宾语结构和与格结构的认知对比研究

摘要

双宾语结构和与格结构是英语中普遍存在的句式，对他们的研究一直受到语言学家的重视。结构主义确定了双宾语结构和与格结构的定义，并分析了他们的句法形式;生成语法认为双宾语结构和与格结构是互相转换而来。而随着认知语言学的兴起，一些学者用构式语法对他们进行了研究，较详细地讨论了英语中两种构式的特点，并对英汉双宾语构式的差异进行了探讨研究。但是对于英语双宾语结构和与格结构的差异却探讨不多。
　　本文运用构式语法理论和意象图式理论研究英语中双宾语结构和与格结构的论元语义属性和语义结构的差异，并对这些差异进行了认知阐释。
　　构式语法认为构式存在于语言的各个层面，是语言中的基本单位。构式本身具有的独立性的意义，构式的整体意义与词义是一种互动的关系。双宾语结构和与格结构都属于双及物结构，因此构式中的语义论元有相同的语义属性:施事一般都是有意志力、自主的指人名词;接受者一般为生命体;受事则是具体的和物质的。英语中这两种构式的中心意义是“施事论元通过某行为使客体向接受者成功转移”，他们的语义是一套以实体成功转移到接受者为中心意义的相关意义系统，具有语义的多义性。但是在英语双宾语结构中，主动词的运动方向语义或始源—路径—目的地图示得以凸显，但是动力范式语义或连接图示受到抑制，因此选择受事论元作为自己的后续成分。而在英语与格结构中，动力范式语义或者连接图示得到凸显，主动词选择施事论元作为自己的后续成分。
　　通过分析英语中双英语结构和与格结构在语义论元属性和语义结构的共性和差异，可以进一步理解英语双宾语结构和与格结构这两类结构中论元语义属性差异，从而更好地理解构式。对两种构式进行认知阐释后，更有利于全面的理解构式，从而可以更恰当自如地运用他们。
