论意识形态对郭沫若译雪莱诗歌的操控

摘要

二十世纪九十年代翻译研究文化转向后,西方翻译学者们开始从不同的视角关注到意识形态操控翻译的普遍性。意识形态操控翻译,从宏观角度体现了翻译作为跨文化实践活动,不可避免地要受到译入语国家社会文化的影响。从微观方面意识形态将影响译者的选材、翻译目的、翻译策略甚至译者的语言风格乃至措辞。本研究以意识形态为研究视角,结合郭沫若翻译的雪莱诗歌,探讨意识形态与翻译的关系。
　　 文章通过郭沫若翻译雪莱诗歌的实例试图证明主流意识形态与个人意识形态共同影响翻译实践,找出影响郭沫若翻译实践的综合社会政治因素。论文正文共分四章,引言部分简介论文的理论研究背景、研究的目的、意义以及研究方法和论文结构;第一章回顾西方翻译研究中意识形态操纵翻译的理论发展脉络及研究现状,以及国内关于意识形态与翻译的研究现状,并且简要介绍了郭沫若的翻译实践,回顾了国内对郭沫若与翻译的相关研究;第二章介绍意识形态操控翻译实践的理论框架,阐释了“意识形态”的定义,并对主流意识形态和个人意识形态这俩种类型的意识形态进行了具体分析,而且也探讨了意识形态与翻译的关系;第三章主要是对译者与作者的介绍。文章首先探讨了郭沫若的人生经历及其翻译思想,也介绍了雪莱的人生经历及其诗歌创作,然后主要对雪莱的两首具有代表性的抒情诗做了简要介绍,为下一章的实例分析做相关铺垫;第四章是本论文的重点,主要介绍意识形态对译者翻译行为的操控,通过实例分析揭示意识形态是如何影响郭沫若的翻译选材、翻译目的及其翻译策略的。
　　 最后结论指出,无论是在翻译之前还是在翻译过程中,意识形态都在有形地或是无形地发挥着操控作用。处于不同时代的译者,对译本的选择和他的翻译策略都不是随意而为之,其目的的背后或是为了迎合主流意识形态或是为了实现译者个人意识形态。当然反过来,译作也能够通过文本形式以及措辞积极作用于主流意识形态与译者个人意识形态。从意识形态视角来研究翻译旨在将翻译从“绝对对等翻译”的空想中解放出来,注重译者和译本的历时性,给予译者和他的翻译实践以客观或相对客观的观察和研究,从而更清楚地把握翻译的本质和翻译活动的复杂性,进而为翻译研究和翻译批评开拓新的视角。
