模因论视域下的字幕英汉翻译——以《辛普森一家》为例

摘要

模因是新达尔文主义者道金斯在《自私的基因》(1989)最后一章中提出的假设，是基于达尔文进化论的观点阐释文化进化规律的新理论。该理论认为模因是一个文化信息单位，那些不断得到复制和传播的语言，文化习俗，观念或社会行为都属于模因。何自然在《语用三论:关联论、顺应论、模因论》一书中将模因的传播类型分为基因型模因与表现型模因。
　　 《辛普森一家》是美国福克斯广播公司的一部动画情景喜剧，现已播放了23季。但就目前国内对于《辛普森一家》的研究来看，国内可见的研究其字幕翻译的研究非常少，几乎都是从电影美学或者是动画艺术的角度来谈的。基于模因论的理论原则，用模因论来指导影视字幕翻译将有效的解决影视字幕翻译存在的问题。故本论文试图从上述两大模因传播类型来分析影视字幕的翻译。
　　 本文以模因论为基本理论，重点探讨以下问题:基因型模因与表现型模因在影视字幕翻译中的可行性;字幕翻译的分类与界定及限定因素;《辛普森一家》字幕翻译官方版本中存在的模因现象，并探讨两大模因传播类型在该剧的英汉字幕翻译中的体现。
　　 此研究希望能给今后的影视字幕研究带来启示，当然，本论文有自身的不足之处，即语料的搜集和语料库的建立是基于笔者的主观认识和情感，难免存在局限之处。笔者也提出了对于今后相关研究的意见和建议，认为今后应用模因论对影视字幕翻译进行研究时能考虑到时间轴将会有更多的启发。
