摘要

翻译研究在20世纪70年代开始了其文化转向，翻译研究不再仅仅局限于语言层面，而是将翻译置于文化、社会、历史的宏观语境下进行探讨，由此拓展了翻译研究的视野，开辟了翻译研究的新角度。在这一过程中，目的论、多元系统论、后殖民理论等多种文化学派的理论成果层出不穷，而勒菲弗尔的改写理论在其中具有特殊地位。正是勒菲弗尔提出一切翻译都是改写，改写受到诗学、意识形态、赞助人因素在各个方面的操控的观点，突出了文化因素在翻译过程中的重要地位，凸现了译者的主体作用，推动了翻译研究的文化转向。改写理论在具体的翻译研究中也具有重要作用，它为我们提供了从诗学、意识形态、赞助人因素等方面来研究翻译的思路，并能有效解释译者为什么选择了某文本，为什么在翻译过程中做出了这样或那样的改写，为什么译语文本在译语文化中取得了某种地位等具体问题，使我们能更深刻地认识翻译现象。 加里·斯耐德翻译的寒山诗是翻译史上一个十分特殊的现象。首先，寒山及其诗歌在中国本土始终未入主流地位，然而经由翻译这一媒介，寒山及其诗歌在美国大放异彩，寒山成为“垮掉的一代
