This paper presents a series of tests carried out on cold-formed high strength steel tubular sectionsrnundergoing web crippling. The tests were conducted on square and rectangular hollow sections of high strengthrnsteel with measured 0.2% proof stress ranged from 679 to 1025MPa. The measured web slenderness valuesrnof the tubular sections ranged from 8.3 to 35.6. Tensile coupon tests were performed to obtain the materialrnproperties. The web crippling tests were conducted under the End-Two-Flange (ETF) and Interior-Two-Flangern(ITF) loading conditions as specified in the North American Specification and Australian/New Zealand Standardrnfor cold-formed steel structures. The test strengths obtained from this study were compared with the designrnstrengths calculated from the North American Specification, Australian/New Zealand Standard and EuropeanrnCode for cold-formed steel structures. The web crippling test results obtained from this study are valuable forrnthe development of design rules for cold-formed high strength steel.
