Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) are under extensive research in the field of flexible display backplanes due to their potential advantages of simple and low-temperature processes (1-5). In the case ink-jet printed and small molecule based OTFTs, achieving a high uniformity over large-area-scale is very important. To secure a high uniformity over a large area, a bank structure is frequently adopted (6). In this paper, we investigated the influence of bank structure on the film morphology and electrical properties of ink-jet printed 6,13-bis (triisopropylsilylethynyl) (TIPS) pentacene OTFTs in order to obtain optimum bank structures.
