One of the basic solutions to the problem of seaports and coastal zones pollution is purification of exhausted gases from ship power installations with the help of liquid neutralizers 120. The schemes of liquid toxic gases neutralizers of different types developed by us are presented in the paper. The ascending film movement of liquid in the package of vertical F-shaped plates is implemented in the neutralizer нгж-2 (GLN-2). In the neutralizer нгж-3 (GLN-3), the liquid goes as ascending and then as a descending film on a surface of tubular coaxial elements. Neutralizers нгж-4 (GLN-4) and нгж-5 (GLN-5) have a similar construction model, but they are executed as flat designs. нгж-7 (GLN-7) film neutralizer with a horizontal package of plates was developed for a more convenient configuration in the circuit of power installation. Complex processes of heat and mass transfer between gas and liquid take place in liquid neutralizers along the course of gas. Due to the advanced area of contact (especially in neutralizers with packages of plates), there is a significant purification of toxic gas components and aerosols. Theoretical and experimental researches of hydraulic characteristics of devices, heat and mass transfer studies were conducted for various circuits of neutralizers. The absorption of CO<,2>, CO, SO<,2>, NOx gases in a film of liquid was also studied. Tests of various types of neutralizers for the use in internal combustion engines were carried out.
