SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE SENTINEL-3 FOR SCIENCE WORKSHOP

The European Space Agency, in the context of thernScientific Exploitation of Operational Missionsrn(SEOM) programme element, has organised an eventrndedicated to prepare for scientific exploitation of thernSentinel-3 mission, entitled "Sentinel-3 for SciencernWorkshop", which was hosted at Palazzo del Casinò inrnVenice–Lido, Italy, from 2 to 5 June 2015. (Fig.1,rnFig.6) The workshop was open to ESA PrincipalrnInvestigators, co-investigators, Sentinel-3 users,rnscientists, students, representatives from national,rnEuropean and international agencies and value addingrnindustries. The outcome of this workshop will help tornfurther shape the next generation of R&D activities inrnthe frame of ESA Earth Observation Programme.
