Employee satisfaction and engagement is a prerequisite for healthy organizations. However, only three in ten organizations have cultures that support continuous improvement and growth. Research shows that managers lack insight into employee satisfaction and engagement levels. This study uses a customer service quality tool to assess employee perceptions of a healthcare organization environment. Employee perceptions are compared to organizational culture to identify the potential link between work culture and work satisfaction. The findings provide an initial method for assessing satisfaction and generating countermeasures to address shortfalls.
