摘要

Orestes is a first principles computer code for simulating the electron deposition, plasma chemistry, laser transport, and amplified spontaneous emission in an electron beam pumped krypton fluoride laser cell. Components describing various physical processes included in the code are briefly reviewed. Calculations are presented of the laser output as a function of cell pressure and fluorine concentration and compared with data from the Electra oscillator at the Naval Research Laboratory. The results indicate specific issues concerning the kinetics of three-body relaxation at high pressure and fluorine electron attachment at low F_2 concentrations.
